Visual inspection
We check for corrosion and leaks, and check the flame meets current standards.
Internal inspection
The casing comes off so we can check the spark probe, burner and heat exchanger.
Flue check
We make sure the flue terminal is clear, sealed and safely fitted.
Controls
We test your boiler controls and thermostat for faults.
Pressure check
We confirm the system and gas pressures are where they should be.
Working test
We fire it up and check everything is running safely, with no lingering faults.

How much is a boiler service?
Our annual boiler service is a fixed £120 inc. VAT. A 5-year service is £195, a boiler and gas fire service together is £216, and a Landlord Gas Safety Certificate (CP12) with a boiler service is £165. See all prices.
How often should a boiler be serviced?
Once a year. It keeps your boiler safe and efficient, and most warranties require it.
How long does a service take?
Usually under an hour, depending on the boiler and what we find. If anything needs attention, we’ll explain it clearly before doing any work.
Can I get my service included in boiler cover?
Yes. Every Homecare plan includes an annual boiler service, starting at £24 a month with your first month free and no excess to pay. Compare plans.
